I have read the section about transferring a project to another team, however this has not made it clear to me how I can move my project on my Hobby account, to my client’s Hobby account.
It seems like upgrading to Pro is the only solution?

Hi @damianmakkink. Yes, a Pro team would be needed to transfer a project because you need to be an owner of the team you’re transferring from, and a member of the team you’re transferring to. This is typically not a problem as commercial usage of the platform already requires either a Pro or Enterprise plan per the Fair use Guidelines. I hope that helps!
