I have 2 Vercel accounts and 1 Github account and I am trying to transfer a project from one to the other (hobby → hobby) because sharing the same Github means I keep getting unauthorized every time I switch repos (between the two Vercel projects). I want to consolidate to 1 Vercel account and 1 Github account, but unfortunately when I go to the “Transfer Projects” page there is nothing popping up when I type in the field. Anyone know what I can do here? If this is only available for Pro members then I would appreciate some sort of workaround. Maybe close the project here and open a new project on the other account with the same repo?
Thanks for reaching out, @techcareerguy-gmailc! To transfer a project, you need to be an owner of the team you’re transferring from and a member of the team you’re transferring to.
The workaround you proposed is spot on. Since you already own the source code, you can deploy to a new project on the team you want to keep and delete the project from your other team. If you have any custom domains assigned to your project, be sure to move those domains as well.
