Custom domain stuck on "Generating SSL Certificate"

Hey there,

So I already have two websites on Vercel with custom domains (krypton.ninja & status.krypton.ninja) and everything works fine.

Today I wanted to add a third one, proceeded the same way as before. Which was just adding a new A record for radar.krypton.ninja that points to 76.76.21.21 in my Cloudflare DNS settings.

For some reason it doesn’t want to work like it used to do before and it’s stuck on the “Generating SSL Certificate”.
I read around and seen that you need a CAA record to be added? Never done that before, but did it nonetheless with the content 0 issue letsencrypt.org. Not working either.

Would appreciate if someone could point out where I’ve made a mistake this time…

Best regards

The domain troubleshooting guide can help with most custom domain configuration issues. You might be able to use that guide to solve it before a human is available to help you. Then you can come back here and share the answer for bonus points.

You can also use v0 to narrow down the possibilities.

I’ve tried to register a few custom domains today myself using the A record and CNAME recommended methods and I have the same issue as you. Most of them are stuck on the SSL certificate generating stage, and others have passed that stage but the CNAME record for www isn’t being recognised on the domain providers DNS page. I’ve tested whether this could be an issue on my side but attempting to register domains from two separate providers but the both are stuck as above.

Hi @sun33t @kkrypt0nn, it looks like Vercel is facing issues with SSL certificates. You can track the status here: Vercel Status - SSL Certificate Generation Delays.

I’m sorry that you’re facing the issue but we’re trying best to resolve it asap.
