Take the State of JavaScript survey (a Next.js app running on Vercel)

Hey everybody,

It’s time to take the State of JavaScript survey, 2024 edition!

It’s all the more interesting to Vercel users that it’s actually a Next.js app hosted on Vercel. We’ve been relatively early users of Next.js, as we switched from a Meteor.js app as soon as API routes were introduced in Next.js v9. Since then I’ve became a Next.js trainer in France

Hosting on Vercel is pretty pleasant, we sometimes scratch our head on the new usage metrics but that would probably be too boring otherwise! Actually most of our budget is spent on web analytics rather than hosting itself.

Thanks to the serverless approach we do not fear spikes, it’s very important for us because we tend to receive a lot of visits when people share the survey on social media, and then nothing when the surveys are not running.

Of course, this is all FOSS, you can find our codebase on GitHub: GitHub - Devographics/Monorepo: Monorepo containing the State of JS apps
It has been reused succesfully for all our surveys (State of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, GraphQL, React…) and also the React Native survey which is run by another organization.

Anyway, we are waiting for your answer! :fast_forward: State of JavaScript 2024

Great to see you here again, @eric-burel! Thanks for sharing your State of Javascript survey as well as some helpful feedback on Vercel. I’ll be sure to pass this on internally
