Hi, the call for speakers form seems to be broken (server-side error).
Here is my presentation outline:
Can you use only Vercel to build any imaginable app and turn a team of junior engineers into Full-Staff Happy Turbo Moguls, on a whim?
Is your team building either a Crypto Fin-Tech, the next Instagram and Twitter, or even an AI/AR Meta Reality app? Could your mid-level engineers suddenly do amazingly more with a lot less time and budget, while being a lot happier at their work?
I’m here to show you that they can, and that Vercel can literally be your full stop infrastructure partner, period. I did it. It worked. I’m building a Fin-Tech, Twitter-like, AR tool with the leanest team you can possibly budget.
I happen to know how IPTABLES work, and how fail2ban is better than WAF (which was built on them). But even if your most Senior Engineer can’t tell the difference between a layer-2 and a layer-6 switch, nor what an Octet Stream actually is, they can still quickly build any web app to the best of industry standards by using Vercel alone.
With Vercel, you can have a micro-services architecture (distributed serverless functions e.g. for CAP Theorem mission critical apps), real-time data streams (SWR, Upstash, e.g. for stock ticks), a reliable cache layer (Redis, KV, for the most demanding users), Metrics/Analytics/Logs/Speed Insight (replacing Splunk, Grafana, Google Analytics and SEO Crux), apart from SSR, SSG, and all static low-cost Front-End solutions.
In this talk I’ll show you how Vercel and Next.js can be used as a template for pretty much any Web Service you can imagine, and why using it can reduce the friction between the complexities of information technology and how it rapidly evolves, enabling any Mid-Level engineer to immediately become a Full Stack Staff Mogul Engineer in your team.
Now get your sorry a** out of the big players (while still relying on their expertise), and get your next cool app out to the market this year still, without trying to re-invent the wheel.
Warning: Nothing is perfect, and the only thing I couldn’t actually achieve with Vercel, was to host a 24/7 live audio stream for my business current main activity in Italy: Web Radio.
Awesome topic, @angeloreale! Can you try the Call for Proposals form again and let me know the error details if you run into another problem? It appears to be working right now.
I’ll also send the conference organization team a link to your post. But I want to make sure there are no problems with the form so everyone’s proposals get it tracked correctly in the system.
Thanks for reporting the bug!
We’ve fixed the issue. Could you try resubmitting again?
So hyped! Let’s go
