I was working on a chat in v0 and hit the chat limit. So I paid for a team seat (I could have just done the individual seat, but thought it’s likely to upgrade soon). But the team seat ended up in a different Team than the chat I was working on. So I now have the chat I was working on stuck in an unplaid account somehow, and there is no way to transfer it to the paid team account.
This is incredibly frustrating. What the heck? Is this by design?
Is there any way to transfer the chat to the new team? Or a project in the old team? The chatbot says that’s the solution, but there doesn’t actually seem to be any way to do that.
I’m experiencing the same issue mentioned in this post after running out of messages and upgrading to the team plan.
I made sure to check if there would be any issues with my chats before purchasing the upgrade, but even the FAQ answer for “I just ran out of messages. How can I keep chatting?” doesn’t mention that older chats wouldn’t be included in the upgrade.

Same thing happened to me and then I ended up paying for two team accounts, when I only need one, because it defaults to the “free” account and I still was out of messages, and I didn’t know I need to manually change to the team account to use what I just paid for. I thought my payment failed, so I ran it again and ended up paying for two team accounts. Lots of things with v0.dev are beautifully done but this initial new purchase flow is frustrating for users.
The same thing happened to me as well. was updated to premium plan paid $20/mo then hit the message limited and updated to team to get more credits and paid the $30/mo and I no longer have access to to my chats in team, don’t know how to transfer, and I am unable to continue to work on my project. I did file a service request, but hoping there is answer for a quick fix so I can continue working on my project.
