Overview
After adding and configuring a custom domain, some users may need to verify their domain.
“The domain may already be associated with another account.”
This message appears for various reasons:
- The domain is already owned by another team.
- You’re trying to use a subdomain from a larger organization (such as a university).
- The domain you purchased was previously owned by someone else who used it for a Vercel project.
Solution
To resolve this, you typically need to add a TXT
record to your DNS settings. This verification step ensures we know that you own the domain. Note: If you’re in larger organizations, like universities, you may need to work with an admin to get the domain verified.
Steps to Add a TXT
