DeepJudge | Frontend Engineer & Lead Frontend Engineer | Zurich, Switzerland | Full-time | chf 80-140k base | Link

We’re a seed stage startup in the legaltech space providing search to large law firms at an unparalleled level of quality, speed and scale. Think Google, but for the law firms’ internal document collections. We’re growing quickly and are looking to expand our engineering team with at least two exceptional frontend engineers, one in a lead position and the other in a more junior role.

We move quickly, and empower and trust our team members to take ownership of their work. You’ll be working alongside a great team of smart, dedicated, and fun people who are passionate about solving the complex challenges that come with building our product.

Our application is a Next.js/React app that uses Tailwind for styling and is hosted both on-prem and in the cloud using Kubernetes. Other libraries we use a lot include the excellent Tanstack Query and Jotai.

Hello,

I’m a software engineer that wants to beef up my Next.js skills because I have knowledge gaps managing a Next.js project where our team is wanting to migrate from Next 12 to 15, so I’m wanting to hire a tutor/coach from this platform to assist me as I go on a learning journey understanding how to maintain a v12 app and gain a much deeper understanding of Next fundamentals.

Can’t figure out how to edit my post  so I’ll add a follow-up here:

We’ve had a quite a few non-EU/EEA applicants since posting here, and while we are super happy that people would like to work with us, I feel that I should add the following:

This position is based in Zurich, Switzerland. We have found that for the engineering team, having everyone in-office at the same location is very beneficial when it comes to coordination, knowledge spread and general happiness. Therefore, we do not (currently and for the foreseeable future) offer remote positions.

Additionally, Switzerland has quite strict immigration laws and hiring non-EU/EEA citizens* is basically a no-go for us at this point in time, unless the applicant is truly exceptional.

My intention here is not to tell people for whom a visa sponsorship will be required not to apply. We still love hearing from you. However, these restrictions are very real, and it is sadly the case that your citizenship status is likely to significantly impact how we approach your application.

*This is overly broad, but as a general rule you will know if you are in one of the minority groups that the law makes an exception for.
