I am writing to urgently request to the intervention regarding severe instability in v0, which has halted my ability to complete a Next.js web app despite four days of effort. Below is a summary of the critical issues:
Key Problems:
Hallucinations & Unrequested Features:
v0 repeatedly invents features I never asked for, such as user login systems, forcing me to waste tokens correcting its output.
It instructs me to “install dependencies in v0,” which is technically impossible, derailing progress.
Excessive Token Consumption:
Tokens are burned rapidly as v0 generates errors, hallucinations, and project deletions, requiring constant restarts.
After 4 days, I have no functional app—just wasted resources.
Project Instability:
v0 deleted two projects mid-development, leaving only fragments of work. Restorations were incomplete and time-consuming.
Chats freeze with “Invalid message ID” errors, forcing abandoned threads.
Impact:
Blocked progress: A simple blog with MDX and Tailwind remains unfinished.
Lost trust: I now hesitate to use v0 for even basic tasks.
Frustration: Debugging v0’s mistakes consumes 90% of my time.
Requests for Support:
Stability Fixes:
Prevent v0 from hallucinating unsolicited features or impossible commands.
Address project deletion risks and chat freezes.
Token Compensation:
Refund tokens spent resolving v0’s errors (e.g., login systems I never wanted).
Workflow Improvements:
Reduce chat iterations needed for basic tasks—50+ steps for a component is unreasonable.
I believe in Next.js’s vision, but v0’s current state is untenable for serious development. I would deeply appreciate your team’s guidance or a timeline for resolving these issues.
