Is hosting multiple images on a Vercel static site a good idea, or is it more cost effective to use a CDN?

Is hosting multiple images on a Vercel static site a good idea, or is it more cost effective to use a CDN? I tend to stay within the $20 budget for my site’s usually on vercel, but was thinking of adding multiple images to one of my sites, would I be better using a CDN for this in terms of cost effectiveness? I host multiple static sites on Vercel overall. Would the 1TB traffic on there main $20 plan be enough long term?

Hey, @jamiecropley!

Thanks for reaching out! Here are some helpful links to our docs on Image Optimization:

To help answer your question, it really depends on the traffic your site receives and the volume of images you plan to host. Could you tell us more information?

If your site has relatively low traffic and the images aren’t particularly large, hosting them directly on Vercel should be fine and likely well within your $20/month budget. Vercel’s Pro plan includes 1TB of bandwidth, which is typically sufficient for many sites.
