Hi, I am new to Vercel and I want to change my password. I have been all through the documentation, however; I guess it is different for free hobby accounts. I followed the instructions listed below but when I get to where the password change option should be, it is not there. Please help. Thank you.
To change your password on Vercel, follow these steps:
From the Vercel dashboard, click on your account avatar and select Settings.
In your account settings, navigate to the Authentication section.
Under the Password section, you will find an option to change your password.
Follow the instructions to enter your current password and set a new one.
As far as I understand, you can create a Vercel account by 1) signing up with an email + text verification or 2) using a Git provider. See relevant docs.
Therefore, you can’t actually change a password as you’re not given one. Did you set one when you created an account?
Here’s a screenshot of what your authentication page (https://vercel.com/account/settings/authentication) should look like:
Thank you for the quick response. I started this account with email. I swore that I did create a password but I setup a bunch of accounts for this project on the same day and I cannot be sure. I will share my github login with my developer and let him login that way.
@help-roundhousef Before I leave this thread, I thought it was worth sharing the details of our Pro Plan which is made for collaboration. It might better in terms of security than sharing credentials to your GitHub account.
