Vercel Account Paused - Is there any way to unpause without paying for the Pro tier?

My Vercel account got paused a few months ago due to a project getting DDoS’ed by a few malicious users, causing my data transfer limit to get exceeded. I have since removed this project from Vercel.

I want to see if there’s any possible way for me to resume my Vercel account and remain on the Hobby tier. I am a casual user of Vercel, and would love to continue using the Hobby tier, without being required to be locked in to a monthly Pro subscription.

I am also willing to pay the Pro subscription for one month, if it means it will resume my account. I just do not want to be locked in to paying for the Pro subscription for the rest of my life, as I don’t need all the pro features.

I was considering making a new GitHub account and migrating all my projects to the new user, so i can create a new Vercel account, however this would be my last resort.

Let me know if there’s anything I can do.

I am also unable to make a support case without purchasing the Pro tier, so the support assistant recommended I make a case on the community form here.

Thanks so much,
Ryan

Hey @metaphysics0. Sorry to hear you had some unexpectedly high usage.

Your team is no longer paused. Upgrading to Pro would also have unpaused the team. Vercel Firewall features like Attack Challenge Mode and Vercel WAF can help you avoid excess usage in the future
