I recently purchased my domain through Vercel, expecting a seamless integration. However, I keep encountering an “Invalid Configuration” error despite following all the provided instructions.
The issue is as follows:
- The system instructs me to remove conflicting DNS records (e.g., a CNAME pointing to
cname.vercel-dns.com.
). - After removing the conflicting record, I proceed to add the recommended A records as instructed (
76.76.21.21
). - Immediately after making the change, the dashboard still reports a conflicting configuration, even though I have followed the exact steps given.
This cycle repeats endlessly, and my domain remains unusable. The instructions given by Vercel seem contradictory, and the system does not properly validate changes. I have waited for DNS propagation, refreshed the dashboard multiple times, and double-checked my settings, yet the issue persists.
This is extremely frustrating for a paid domain service. Vercel should provide clearer guidance, fix this misconfiguration issue, or at the very least, offer proper troubleshooting steps beyond the generic “Invalid Configuration” error.
Has anyone else encountered this? Any solutions? If not, Vercel needs to address this problem immediately.
