The TXT record is set to _vercel.aplanet.me.kr, but due to limitations in the hosting provider’s interface, it is not possible to place the record in the exact required location.
Since the A record has already been correctly configured, please manually verify the domain.
I’ve set up both the A record (pointing to Vercel’s IP) and the TXT record for verification, but the issue is with the TXT record location. The registrar interface doesn’t allow me to set it exactly at the _vercel.me.kr location that Vercel requires.
I’m facing a domain verification issue with my Korean domain registrar (Whois/후이즈). I want to provide more context while avoiding sensitive information on this public forum.
Issue details:
I’ve successfully set up the A record pointing to Vercel’s IP (76.76.21.21)
I’ve also added the TXT record for verification, but there’s a limitation with the registrar’s interface
The issue is that I can only create the TXT record at “_vercel.[my-domain]” but not at “_vercel.me.kr” as required
The domain is showing “Domain is pending verification” in my Vercel dashboard
The DNS propagation is complete (verified via dig), and when I access my domain directly, it shows a Vercel deployment page. However, I can’t get past the verification step to fully configure my domain in Vercel.
What are my options in this situation? Is there any workaround when a registrar doesn’t allow the exact TXT record location that Vercel requires?
Thank you for your assistance.
I think you might have mistakenly sent the wrong TXT record because “me.kr” might be unfamiliar to you, and you were trying to obtain ownership information for “me.kr” instead.
Please help me with this issue—I need to resolve it urgently.
Hi @lyj7323, sorry for the delay. The team has found the issue and are actively working to get it through. I can’t share a timeline but I’ll keep you posted as soon as we get it done.
I know you can’t tell me how long it will take to fix the issue,
but I just want to know if it’s possible to resolve it right now.
If it’s not possible to fix it on Vercel,
I’ll have to find another solution or abandon this project.
Your issue with the domain has been naturally resolved. However, in the next step regarding the CNAME (as shown in the screenshot), the Name field is set to aplanet. When this is entered in the domain provider’s WHOIS settings, it automatically becomes aplanet.aplnet.me.kr. Since aplnet.me.kr is automatically assigned by WHOIS and I cannot change it, I need an alternative solution.
Possible solutions include using an A record or changing the CNAME Name suggested by Vercel to www. I need a solution to this issue.
It seems like there is some misunderstanding. Vercel’s Domains settings do not give me any options to choose from. I confirmed the message that the TXT record registration was successful , then immediately added the domain to my project. After that, the screen displayed the content shown in the screenshot. I was not able to choose anything.
Hi @lyj7323, I see. In the image you shared, there’s a tab Nameservers. What happens when you click on it? You should be able to get the steps to set up Vercel Nameservers for this domain. Can you confirm it?
