I already enabled both web analytics and speed insights from the dashboard of my project, and installed the necessary edpendencies in my next js application as well importing the modules and calling them in the root layout, however both web analytics and speed insights are still not working

Sorry to see you are facing this issue. Can you share how long has it been since the latest deployment went out to production?
Also, I’d recommend following the Vercel Web Analytics Troubleshooting guide to see if that resolves it for you.
