V0 itself has become unreachable through Google

It’s kinda funny-not-funny but I often try to briefly search for some v0-related content including official resources (documentation, support/forum etc.) and I genuinely struggle because you simply cannot google it!

Why?

Because you got every single public v0 page indexed somehow and ranked on top. No matter the topic, you just land on some mockup page.

Not a single one of those links above is “the actual page”, incredibly frustrating.

You’ll just keep ending up on these:

I’ve never seen this before that a brand, v0 in this case, itself has become invisible due to its own product; but because it’s also frustrating if you DO look for something, and the only thing that helps is to go down the “vercel” route instead (for the people that know), I really hope the team behind rethinks how to index all these public v0 mockups.

Hi @lexixon, thanks for the feedback. I’ll share this with our team to improve the reach.

Looking at https://v0.dev/sitemap.xml, a bunch of resources are listed there without any priority numbers.
You can add <priority>(number)</priority> to sitemaps in each <url> tag to tell search engines how important these pages are.
I would assign a high priority to v0.dev and the main v0 pages, and less priority to public chats.

Of course, indexing all the user chats may be intentional, as the chat titles will cover a lot of search terms and get a lot of visits. :person_shrugging:
