MX records

Hi,
There seems to be an issue with MX records. I used to receive emails 2 days ago. today, no emails received and I tried multiple times. I verified with Bluehost, the DNS records are entered here on Vercel did not change.
Why am I note receiving emails anymore?
Please not that on preview version, emails work as expected but when sending an email on xsci.ca, nothing receiced in inbox.
Please find the attached DNS records from bluehost that i entered in Vercel.

The domain troubleshooting guide can help with most custom domain configuration issues. You might be able to use that guide to solve it before a human is available to help you. Then you can come back here and share the answer for bonus points.

You can also use v0 to narrow down the possibilities.

Hi @ybelaifa90m welcome to the Vercel Community!

Sorry that you’re facing this issue. Can you explain what you mean by the “preview version” and what is “sending an email on xsci.ca”?

This will help us find a solution together.

Hi @anshumanb ,

Thank you very much for your response. After spending all day debugging. It turns out when i select an option in my contact page called “Other”, I do not receive the email. I receive the emails for other options but not this particular one. I checked emailJS and I do not see any blocked strings, and i can see the email sent but i do not receive it. Right now i am looking to find out if blocking this particular string is coming from Vercel side.

Thank you again !

It looks like some of the DNS records are missing. The MX records and SPF record are set, but the missing CNAME records may be causing the emails to be flagged as spam or remain undelivered with some email providers.

These setup steps should get it working: https://www.bluehost.com/help/article/how-to-manage-cloud-mail-dns

Hi Amy
Thank you for your reply.

Do I need to ask Bluehost for the CNAME record? On their platform I only see the ones I entered in Vercel already and i have confirmed with them.

Thank you very much again

Yes. If Bluehost is the email provider, they would be able to tell you the appropriate records and values.

It looks like new records have propagated. I hope email is working for you now :slightly_smiling_face:
