How to use a properly domain with my github account

Hello,

I wanted to use my own github repository to host my webpage, however it was not possible, I think because of the standard domain of my email and I should use the domain of a friend of mine. Now he’s having troubles to use his repository in their projects. How can I modify that to use my own account?
