Hi @mauryah380-gmailcom!

Could you provide more details about your account and the specific projects? Sharing your ID or deployment link would help me investigate further.

This is my deployed project link

Same here, 36 days ago after it showed that I exceeded the usage, the entire hobby account went into a Paused state, and it still is. What do I need to do to get back to normal?

My site is https://awkenglish-website.vercel.app/

Hi @jokimina!

Welcome to the Vercel Community!

Your account may be temporarily restricted if you exceed your plan’s limits. Could you delete any projects that you don’t use, perhaps? You could also upgrade to a Pro account. This just ensures you don’t exceed usage again.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi @mauryah380-gmailcom!

Are you still seeing this issue? Unfortunately, I was unable to find your deployment or account.

As I mentioned earlier, it entered the Paused status 36 days ago, and then I removed the projects that exceeded the limit. It has been over a month now, and it is still in the Paused status. If there are no plans to upgrade to Pro for the time being, will it be permanently Paused?

You should be good to go now, @jokimina! Apologises, I didn’t see that you deleted the projects that exceeded the limit. I dug further and found that you had.

Appreciate your patience  Welcome again to the community, see you around here!

Thank you very much, I see that my hobby account is working properly now.

I’m a bit curious, if the hobby account triggers restrictions, is it impossible to exit the Paused state except by contacting Vercel’s official team or upgrading to Pro?

My hobby plan is paused since last month (july 5th) due to overruse.

I opened a ticket (Case (#265612)), since I had no confirmation email, a few hours later, I opened an other ticket (Case (#265656)) (mentioning that it could be a duplicate of the first), I haven’t had any confirmation email either.

The deployment responsible for the overruse : https://nextjs-github-browser.vercel.app/

Can you please unpause my account?

Hi, @topheman!

Could you refer to this comment?

Hi @pawlean !

Could you delete any projects that you don’t use, perhaps?

I have very few projects on this account, they are demos for my open source projects, they are still relevant.

You could also upgrade to a Pro account.

I want to remain on Hobby plan for free open source projects.

This just ensures you don’t exceed usage again.

I don’t know if you were able to find the tickets #265612 or #265656, I was explaining that my nextjs-github-browser project had most likely been crawled by multiple bots, triggering lots of requests, which led to overruse.

I took action: In Project Settings > Deployment Protection > Vercel Authentication I set it to enabled, so that anyone that wants to access the nextjs-github-browser project will need to be logged in to my vercel account to access it.

Which should prevent any future overruse (I will be the only one to be able to access it).

Thank you @pawlean , my account is working properly now.

Note: I found a more appropriate option to avoid getting back in the same situation : activate Project Settings > Security > Attack Challenge Mode - see documentation : Attack Challenge Mode

Attack Challenge Mode is a way for Vercel customers to ensure more control when under DDoS attacks. When enabled, all visitors to your site will see a challenge before allowed through.

The Vercel Firewall automatically mitigates against DDoS attacks, but sometimes you may want an extra layer of control to ensure that all traffic to your site is legitimate.
