I have a domain tales.so, which was initially hosted on Firebase (3 years ago), where:
• Google provided the IP address 76.76.21.21.
• An SSL certificate was also set up by Google.
Now, I’ve moved to Vercel for hosting tales.so:
• Vercel also provided the IP address 76.76.21.21 for the A record.
Problem: My domain is experiencing DNS resolution errors or invalid SSL certificate errors intermittently (about 4/10 times). Have done everything from clearing cache, waiting for 8-10 days. Closing the old firebase project, etc.
Hey @arpwal. If you want to keep the domain secret, there’s a page of domain troubleshooting tips that can help you solve the issue. If you want more help and are comfortable sharing the domain, I can also look into it.
Another thing that I’m seeing is that the DNS resolution is stale and is not updating – even after 10 days of me updating the records. Here’s a screenshot from today am –
Thanks for sharing the domain! It looks like the domain is using Cloudflare name servers (DNS Checker - DNS Check Propagation Tool). There are a few things you may need to do differently to get the domain configured for your project in that case. You can find setup instructions and troubleshooting tips here: Vercel and Cloudflare Integration
I would recommend contacting Namecheap Support for help investigating why the name server update has not propagated as expected. They’ll have access to more of the details needed to understand what’s causing the problem.
